Low Noise Metal Film Resistors – Matched Pairs

These are our standard-issue resistors — low noise, high precision, and perfect for crossover work in both our Shinjitsu Audio speakers and Horn X2 system. With 1% tolerance and excellent thermal stability, they provide consistent performance without coloration or distortion. These are not wire-wound — they’re true metal film with low inductance, matched in-house before shipment.

Instructions for Selecting Resistor Value

Use the chart below to choose the correct resistor based on the sensitivity (dB) of your woofer or speaker. Lower resistance values decrease loudness (softer horn), while higher values increase loudness (louder horn).

If you're using a Shinjitsu Audio speaker (such as the Little Hiro, Hiro, Hiro Junior, Crane, Lantern), check the speaker’s sensitivity rating in the product description and match it below. If using your own speaker with Horn X2, estimate your woofer’s actual sensitivity. Be aware that published specs are often inaccurate — always tune by ear if unsure.

Note: Resistors are sold as matched pairs. We do not accept returns on resistor orders.
