Hiro - Lead Model in the Hiro Series
The culmination of our Hiro design lineage — refined, balanced, and resolutely musical.
The Hiro represents the most complete expression of our Hiro family — a full-range horn system built for those who want realism without complication. It combines depth, scale, and control in a cabinet that feels as considered as it sounds.
Evolved from the Horn X2
At its core, Hiro carries the same crossover, compression driver, and horn architecture as the Horn X2 — the proven foundation that shaped our entire horn series.
This shared DNA means phase-accurate integration, even dispersion, and the immediacy that horn systems are known for — now extended through a larger, full-range enclosure.
Key Features
- Full-Range Response: The Mark Audio CHR-120 delivers the low and midrange foundation, seamlessly handing off around 2 kHz to the Horn X2 module for uniform coverage from 32 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB).
- High Sensitivity: 93 dB @ 1 W / 1 m — ideal for low-watt tube designs and refined solid-state amplification alike.
- Adjustable Horn Output: External resistor-based L-pad allows fine-tuning of high frequencies to match your room or personal preference.
- Refined Cabinet: Precision-cut Baltic Birch with a hand-rubbed Black Limba face, tuned to deliver controlled bass with a natural, organic texture.
- Horn X2 Crossover Topology: Ensures perfect phase and tonal balance between woofer and horn — consistent, repeatable, and transparent.
