The Little Hiro distills the spirit of our horn-driven design into a more approachable size. It carries the same crossover, horn, and compression driver as the larger Hiro systems, tuned for effortless integration and natural balance in smaller rooms. Despite its footprint, it delivers a sense of scale and immediacy far beyond expectation.
Design and Performance
At its core, the Little Hiro uses the proven Horn X2 PRO architecture: the Beyma CD171 FE/PK compression driver paired with the B&C ME20 horn, crossed at approximately 2 kHz. Beneath it, the Mark Audio CHR-90 wide-range woofer handles bass and midrange duties with remarkable composure. The result is a unified, full-range presentation that feels immediate, open, and dynamically alive.
The redesigned 14-liter cabinet increases internal volume and extends bass response to around 50 Hz. Every enclosure is cut from ¾″ Baltic birch and finished by hand. Listening Experience
The Little Hiro offers the unmistakable clarity of horn-loaded treble with the warmth and intimacy of a compact two-way. It images cleanly, responds instantly, and maintains composure at low volume — ideal for tube or low-power Class A amplifiers. It may be small, but it projects with confidence and control, revealing tone and texture that larger designs often obscure.
